Project 2A: Production Shooting

In this task, we need to shoot clips from the movie "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

We separate in groups to complete the shooting task, and edit the video individually. Here are my group members and our roles:

We started video shooting on Week 6. It was a very fun and interesting experience. I was given the role of location sound. I monitor the audio levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure clear and consistent sound. I work together with the boom operator, director of photography, and other crew members to position the microphones out of frame so that they do not interfere with the shot. Also, I record room tone and other ambient sounds to help create a seamless audio mix in post-production.

After shooting, our director uploaded the organised raw video clips for each scene, as well as the audio. The scenes will then be edited into a movie teaser in random order.

Editing process:

First, I sync the audio together, then I search for teaser sound effect on YouTube.

Next, I apply different colour gradings on different shots. The colour grading given are:

Teal & Orange
Bluish (cold)
Greenish (cold)
Brownish (warm)
Desaturation, 50-70%
Black and White, High Contrast

Project 2B: TikTok Proposal

About The Idea

The scene start with me waking up, then jump into another scene wearing Chinese traditional clothing. I will use my hand to swipe up and down to create transitions of face swapping from no makeup to ugly funny looking makeup. Then, transform into another few different good looking girls with different clothing with fan. Suddenly, alarm rings, I woke up from a dream. But a fan fell down, then music continues.

I uses 剪映 (Chinese version of CapCut) to edit my TikTok video.
